getting a personal trainer?

When you select a personal trainer. Be sure to ask for some references and find out how long they have actually been training people and if they even know how to train THEMSELVES! You will be very surprised at just how many "personal trainers" don't even have more than a weekend course backing them up and they can't even perform properly executed exercises themselves!

As of this moment in ontario at least, many clubs only need a trainer to have a kinesiology degree. You might think this is good except for the fact that most kin students have ZERO experience with training and only some very basic knowlege of real training principles. Just another example of how a piece of paper can lull us into thinking someone knows what they are doing.
