I was recently in Calgary taking a self discovery course called Mindscape and took this picture. While I was editing it, I thought I would post it up and then I got to thinking. . .
I can't say how many people have asked me how I feel lately. All I can say is "peaceful, inside and out". . .and the answer I have gotten from basically every one is: "That must be nice. . ." and it feels like each of those people thinks that they can't have the same thing.
This type of thinking happens because we all have LIMITING belief systems that prevent us from tapping into the source of peace that is in us all. It never leaves, we just cover it all up with our mental conditioning.
I will go first and share a past limiting belief that may have stood me in good stead when I was younger in my personal/family/friend relationships, but it sure did not get me anywhere in my later ones. . .
Limiting belief - being angry/forceful/opinionated will keep me safe. .which leads to. . Peace will not allow me to be safe because I can't be angry/forceful/opinionated if I have peace. . .
What a strange way to look at things you might say, but you can see people doing this and other types of conditioned responses to life every day. They just can't see it is all (that's why it is referred to as unconscious conditioning) . . .and they will continue until the "old way" gets too painful to keep up.
Pain that makes you "wake up" and see your conditioned responses to life's "situations" can come in a lot of different forms. . .breakups, work stress, money issues etc. we all will have different experiences and we all have different limiting beliefs that we have learned at some time in the past (and right now in the present we are learning more)
There, I just went, now you can have a turn. .and you don't even have to post it online. Just start with some simple relaxation techniques and start "feeling" what your body is telling you. . .all those aches and pains and anxiety (fight or flight response) are usually a signal from your biology that you are doing something that just does not make sense anymore.
